About
Martha’s Kitchen began serving the San Jose community in 1981, providing meals and groceries with dignity to those facing food insecurity. What began as a small effort to serve hot meals has grown into a vital resource, distributing millions of meals each year through our own programs and partnerships across Santa Clara and San Benito Counties.
Today, we host congregate dining in San Jose, Hollister, and San Juan Bautista; support a Meals on Wheels program serving homebound seniors in San Benito County; operate a grocery distribution in San Jose; and provide food to more than 65 partner organizations.
Martha’s Kitchen continues to strengthen its ability to feed more people, reduce food waste, and meet the growing needs of our community.
